Back-to-School

Supply Drive

 

Child Guidance Center sponsors an Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive in which we give up to 500 children a bag filled with the necessary items for going back to school.  Many of the children that come to us for help do not have the means to obtain school supplies on their own.  Too often this results in the child as having difficulties in school due to embarrassment, low self-esteem, and lack of motivation to excel.  The provision of these supplies assists in increasing attendance, academic performance and motivation through promotion of self esteem.

Your monetary donation or gift-in-kind donation of any of the below items is greatly appreciated.   It is only through the generosity of support of community partners like you that Child Guidance Center can continue to provide practical solutions for children like this.   

Needed items include: glue sticks, pencils, colored pencils, markers, watercolor paint, crayons, wide ruled loose paper, rulers, pocket folders, theme books, three-ring binders, and pens.

Items with business logos on them are welcome. 

Individual children can be sponsored with a $10.00 gift per child.
