CURRENT VACANCIES
Targeted Case Manager
The Targeted Case Manager works closely with children who are seriously emotionally disturbed and with their families, to link them with an array of services. He or she monitors the service delivery to ensure its appropriateness and advocates on behalf of the client in order to maintain the child in the least restrictive setting.
The Targeted Case Manager is responsible for the formulation, review, and implementation of an individualized and creative service plan to assure a high-level of quality care. The services focus on improving the child’s functioning in relation to the family, community, and educational environments. Monitoring may also include residential facility environments.
In order to do this job, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in the field of psychology, social work, or related human services field is required, in addition to at least one year’s previous experience working with emotionally disturbed children. Moderate computer skills are required, such as inputting at least 35 cwpm and familiarity with spread sheets and Microsoft Outlook. Reliable transportation with liability insurance, a FL driver’s license and good driving record are also required.

COMMUNITY THERAPISTS
Child Guidance Center needs client centered, compassionate Therapists for a community based program that delivers therapeutic mental and behavioral health services to children and adolescents in home and at school. This is an intense, outreach driven program designed to assist families who have not responded to previous outpatient care.
Practitioners provide high quality counseling throughout the greater Jacksonville area. These positions require engaged consumer service, involving clients and families in the therapy process. Maintaining complete and accurate up-to-date charts is an important part of the job, along with meeting the team’s established performance criteria.
A Master’s degree from a FL license-eligible program that allows the Therapist to register as an intern in the social work, therapeutic mental health counseling or marriage and family therapy disciplines is the minimum qualification; previous experience providing therapeutic services to children and/or families and developing treatment plans based on DSM- IV diagnoses is preferred.
